What On Earth Are We Doing With Our Money?
You may already know Refinery29’s Money Diaries… this is our own version of it! We’ve put together a few questions to understand what women are doing with their money. Let’s break the taboo and talk more about finances!
It’s short, snappy, fun and anonymous.
digital account manager. LONDON. 32. SINGLe, lots of plants but no pet.
💭 Financial goals:
Short term (1-5 years): I want to get a flat or house...out of London obvs.
Medium term (5-10 years): Start my own business.
Long term (10 years +): Live happy and live well.
🌟 Best buy ever: Lessons with a personal trainer, it changed my way of eating and helped with my health.
😳 Worst buy ever: I do like to eat...I love food...most of my expense is in food...arggg!
👀 Things you spend the most money on: All I guess...mostly rent (incl. bills), food, transport and travel.
😌 Pension: I do, tiny with the company one.
🔮 Insurances: No.
💸 Salary / Income: £27K.
💰 Net worth (what you own vs what you owe, or your assets minus your debts): I don't owe anything. I have an ISA which is giving peanuts ...0.55% I think...basically nothing and on top of this, I don´t envision getting a pay rise not even the inflation percentage.
💻 Any side hustles: I wish.
👛 Savings: Yes, banks are giving peanuts for them. I'm trying to save around £900 per month. Also I'm trying to save money with food, have to come back to cooking soon!!.
🏠 Home: No, I wish.
🔦 Debt: No.
📈 Investing: I don't know how.
⚡ What is money for you? Money helped to be free. It doesn’t give happiness but it helps ....a lot!.
🚀 What is financial independence for you? Indeed, living my life on my own terms...and a flat or place on my own (I am a bit old fashion, I want a flat which allow me to get a place in this world and at the same time, help me with my pension....)
THANK YOU!
