๐Ÿ’ญ Financial goals:

Short term (1-5 years): Saving for a house deposit

Medium term (5-10 years): Mortgage free.

Long term (10 years +): Retire on investments.

๐ŸŒŸ Best buy ever: Teacher training - £3,000 to retrain as a teacher after 10 years in industry - Iโ€™ve never looked back.

๐Ÿ˜ณ Worst buy ever: An expensive pair of leather boots bought in a hurry and only worn once as I didnโ€™t really like them when I bought them. This was my old mindset of โ€˜have to have new clothes every time I go outโ€™. Makes me cringe now.

๐Ÿ‘€ Things you spend the most money on: Rent, council tax and Eating out

๐Ÿ˜Œ Pension: Yes - a good workplace pension.

๐Ÿ”ฎ Insurances: Yes - life Insurance to pay off mortgage on rental property.

๐Ÿ’ธ Salary / Income: £67,300.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Net worth (what you own vs what you owe, or your assets minus your debts): £125,000.

๐Ÿ’ป Any side hustles: £400/month rental property.

๐Ÿ‘› Savings: I have a Marcus savings account and recently dipped my toe into Wealthify.. I have a healthy pension pot for someone my age and I put in 15% of my salary in it (with my employer).

๐Ÿ  Home: Yes but rented out so need to buy another one to live in hence saving for a deposit (again!).

๐Ÿ”ฆ Debt: Proudly £0.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Investing: Just my Pension and rental property. Will look at stocks and shares ISA once I have saved my house deposit.

โšก What is money for you? Future freedom.

๐Ÿš€ What is financial independence for you? Being able to make my own decisions.

THANK YOU!
