Financial goals:

Short term (1-5 years): Pay off all debt (apart from mortgage)

Medium term (5-10 years): Start investing, saving and putting 17% into my pension monthly

Long term (10 years +): Large financial cushion for security and providing all opportunities for our children

Best buy ever: My flat for the security of a home

Worst buy ever: Expensive handbags

Things you spend the most money on: Mortgage, travel, eating out

Salary / Income: £72,500

Net worth (what you own vs what you owe, or your assets minus your debts): -

Any side hustles: No although I’m a wicked cross-stitcher!

Savings: No, paying off debts

Home: Yes, value is £385k

Debt: £9k credit card, £12k personal loan (past me had a good time!!)

Investing: I want to but debt clearance comes first

Pension: Yes, workplace pension where I contribute 5% and my employer matches it

Insurances: Yes life insurance as I’m the breadwinner

What is money for you? Independence and freedom to do anything

What is financial independence for you? The ability to buy something and not worry whether there’s enough in my account!
